like no other

With the hot summer days… we have found ourselves headed over to the Oregon coast to cool off.

The last few times I have been there the sunsets have been absolutely mind-boggling!
Incredibly beautiful… words just don’t capture it…

So, last week when we went and while the kids were playing… I sat in anticipation of what the sunset would look like. Seriously – I was giddy waiting to see how God would show up.

The last time we were there, I stopped staring at the amazing sky for a moment and looked around.

Everyone… and I mean EVERYONE… on the beach had stopped and were standing in complete awe of the beauty before them.

It hit me how all these people – whether they realized it or not – were standing in awe of our Creator’s work.

Came across this scripture today and it reminded me of that evening on the beach.

I am the Lord, and there is no other;
    apart from me there is no God.
I will strengthen you,
    though you have not acknowledged me,
⁶ so that from the rising of the sun
    to the place of its setting
people may know there is none besides me.
    I am the Lord, and there is no other.
Isaiah 45:5-6
