490

490 - not number of times to forgive the offender... but the same offense.

Four hundred and ninety.

Seven times seventy.

“We forgive, we mortify our resentment;
a week later some chain of thought carries us back to
the original offense and we discover the old resentment
blazing away as if nothing had been done about it at all.
We
need to forgive our brother seventy times seven
not only
for 490 offenses but for one offense. ~ C.S. Lewis

I. am. so. weak.

But I serve a King who is not.

A Savior who has already forgiven me for the same offense more than 490 times… who saves me from myself so I can do the same.
