Let’s just go hide under a rock!

I’ll be the first to admit it…
I’m tired.
Exhausted.

Today, the first thing I did when I woke up was to complain about how worn out I feel.

I know I’m not the only one! Otherwise songs like ‘Worn‘ wouldn’t be popular.

Not only do we continue our story with my husband’s unemployment… but, this week we discovered a huge leak under the house. Not to mention our shower upstairs has been leaking to the ceiling of the family room below it. We think the water has encouraged ants and spiders (BIG spiders) to explore and come upstairs into our bedrooms and kitchen…

All to say…
I just want to go hide under a rock today!
That’s my ugly.

Here is His beautiful ~

That my King has been faithful to show us that He is surprised by none of this! He has held our hand and provided in the midst of our craziness… just enough at just the right time.

And yet… {my ugly again} even though I see His miraculous hand, I don’t want to call anyone, I don’t want to make any meals, I don’t want to go grocery shopping. I just want to hide today.

As I am sitting here thinking this, I saw a post on a friend’s parent’s caring-bridge site. Both of her parents are in the hospital with life threatening illnesses.
She says she wants to go hide under a rock too! But that isn’t what she was talking about. She was talking about a different rock.

“Truly He is MY ROCK and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”
Psalm 62:2

HE is the ROCK I can crawl under!
