thanks

God’s Word is clear.

“…in everything give thanks;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
I Thessalonians 5:18

We are to give thanks… in everything.

everything.

When life sucks.

When finances are tough.

When relationships hurt.

When illness hits.

How in the world can we give thanks in the ugly?

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.”
Psalm 136:1

The absolute ONLY reason we can give thanks in everything…
in good and bad…
in joy and suffering…
in ups and downs…

Is because giving thanks has nothing to do with the circumstances of our lives.

We can give thanks because our God is the same yesterday… today… and tomorrow.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.”

And, this always-the-same God?
His lovingkindness is everlasting…
always…
never-ending!

This God?
He is here.
He is with me.
…with you.
No. Matter. What.

And… YOU are His beloved.
