The Author

On a whim, I picked up this little Christmas Advent book by Max Lucado.
It sat on the coffee table for a week…
then, moved to the buffet in the dining room.
It wasn’t much longer, that I noticed it was moved to the top of the piano… and eventually was up on my nightstand.
Yesterday, I was heading out the door with my computer to get some work done – when it caught my eye.
I paused for a minute… grabbed it and stuck it in my purse.
After getting all set up at a table by a window in the coffee shop… my computer, of course, starting acting up – so I restarted.
While I was waiting, I could see the corner of the book sticking out of my purse… just begging to be read.
I got it out and sat reading the first chapter…
Not sure why I was surprised that it was exactly what I needed to hear… perfect in that moment.
Can I share about this first chapter?
The first chapter is about the Author…
the Creator of life…
Creator of you, of me.
It shares about the story the Great Author is writing.
“The Author makes a promise to these unborn: In my image, I will make you. You will be like me. you will laugh. You will create. You will never die. And you will write… They must. For each life is a book… not to be read, but rather a story to be written.” -Max Lucado
My life is a book.
Your life is a book…
How will your story be written?
As I long to write my story carefully… I am touched to the core by the thought that this is not something I am left alone to do.
My story would be about nothing more than loss and death if it weren’t for this amazing Author sending His perfect Son.
He didn’t leave us alone to write our story… He is HERE.
Immanuel!
