Word of our testimony

We. Will. Overcome.

There it was… screaming at me through the radio.
It stopped me in my tracks because I wanted to know more.

I want to overcome. But, how?

As someone who tends to sit in being overwhelmed…
who {apparently} likes to hide in the ashes of my life,
I have to say, the thought to OVERCOME got my attention.

Once again, music has been a tool speaking truth to my heart.
The song… ‘Overcome’ by Jeremy Camp.
It is right out of Revelation 12:7-12.

“Power in hand speaking the Father’s plan
You’re sending us out, light in this broken land

We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb
and the word of our testimony, everyone overcome”

Do you see it?
The words of our testimony. Our story. His story.

And the truth is… it isn’t really our story at all. It is HIS.

Want to know the secret to overcome?

It’s in Jesus… and in sharing what He is doing in your life.

Revelation 12:7-12
“They defeated him [Satan] through the blood of the Lamb
and the bold word of their witness.”

We will overcome by the blood of Jesus…
And by the words of our story… our witness.

There is POWER in our stories of redemption.
This isn’t just talking about our testimony of when we were first saved.
We must share the daily story of the witness of Jesus working in our lives – transforming the ashes to beauty…
The story of the ugly traded for His beautiful.

Let’s share the ugly…
but, not forget to share the
journey of God’s faithfulness
in the midst of it.

If we don’t share the ugly, we can’t share the beautiful.

31 Days of My Ugly, His Beautiful isn’t about sharing weakness… suffering… hardship.
It is about handing it over to Jesus, my King, and trading it for amazing beauty.

We will overcome!
