Words of LIFE
I was challenged last week to take 7 days to share 7 life verses on Facebook.
It’s been so good for me to go back and think about some scriptures that the Lord has used to draw me close… to remember how I found these verses that have impacted me to the core. It has encouraged and blessed me immensely.
I’d like to hear what verses you have claimed in your life…

There is so much power in the Word of our God… It breathes LIFE to bones that have been sucked dry. Revisiting some of the passages that have been used to shape us and grow us in our walk with our King can have a profound impact because we are remembering… remembering His faithfulness in our lives.
I’ll start.
7 Days.
7 Life verses.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
These precious verses were the first verses I memorized and held close to my heart out of my own desire to dig into God’s Word. I clearly remember being at summer camp going into my freshman year of high school… I was sitting on the swings talking with my youth pastor and somehow we started talking about this passage in Proverbs. He pointed out how the word “acknowledge” means “to get to know”… I dwelled on that for a long time.
“In all your ways… get to know… Him”
Love that!
And, that became my focus going into high school… to always seek to “get to know” my God.
Funny thing – the more I get to know my King, the more I see how trustworthy He is.
